Despite having their critically questionable 1999 debut album Sexy AND Sexist banned from US and global markets, Holy Rubber made a quick recovery and were primed to release their second debut album in 2001. Plans were derailed, and after crashing and burning through the early 2001 Land of Lakes punk rock and bass fishing RICO scandal, most thought the band would never be heard from again. The band is preparing for new live dates in late 2022/early 2023. Coalescing around the vibe in Apple Valley’s edgy underground ballet knife fighting circuit, Dusty Rubber is grinding the rust off their axes, braiding their long hairs, and preparing to take the music world by force.
The Dust is primarily grinding out a list of unforgettable cover tunes while they restore the edge on their chops, with the eventual goal of releasing a third debut album of originals somewhere down the road. If they live to tell the tales.
